01 / CHARGING

Start where
you park.

Talk to GIRACH about your usual journeys, where you park and the charging equipment supported by your chosen vehicle.

01

Confirm the vehicle

Check the final charging connector, AC charger specification and the cables or accessories included.

02

Assess the location

Have a qualified installer assess your electrical supply, earthing, protection and proposed cable route.

03

Plan your routine

Discuss practical charging times and compatible equipment with GIRACH before installation.

Ask about home charging

02 / YOUR ENERGY COSTS

Your journeys.
Your numbers.

An energy-cost illustration, using your inputs. No assumed current electricity or petrol prices, and no promise of savings.

Set your assumptions

12,000 km/year, 8 L/100 km and 18 kWh/100 km are editable example assumptions, not VIGO or BOX ratings. Use actual consumption where available.

ILLUSTRATIVE ANNUAL COMPARISON

What could your
energy costs look like?

Add your current electricity tariff and petrol price to see the calculation.

Energy only. Excludes purchase price, financing, insurance, maintenance, charger installation, taxes and resale value. Tariff structures and actual consumption can change the result.

03 / GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you
make the switch.

Start with clear answers from the people supplying your vehicle.

Is home charging equipment included?

The supplied material does not establish a complete Malawi delivery package. Ask GIRACH to confirm the connector, cable, wallbox, installation scope and costs in writing.

Are the quoted ranges guaranteed?

No. The VIGO brochure lists a CLTC range of up to 471 km for the 51.87 kWh version. The BOX brochure lists 430 km without clearly identifying the cycle. Actual driving range depends on the vehicle, driving conditions and energy use.

Can I rely on the brochure’s MWK 8,000 full-charge cost?

That promotional figure is tied to a domestic ESCOM tariff dated 19 January 2026. This site does not treat it as a current quotation. Use your current tariff and account for charging losses.

Where can I charge away from home?

Ask GIRACH about currently compatible charging options for your intended routes. This website does not claim a verified national charging network or live station availability.

Can I use solar power to charge?

Discuss your proposed electrical installation and charging equipment with GIRACH and a qualified installer. The brochures do not specify a solar charging package or approved solar-system design.
